Wiltshire's White Horses
The white horse figures cut into Wiltshire's chalk downs are perhaps the much younger cousins of the famous Uffington White Horse. Chalk figures are cut into the downland turf, they need frequent weeding and from time to time the chalk needs topping up; it is thought that over the years many simply grew over and were forgotten. In Wiltshire eight survive some still cared for by their local community, each with its own story. The project created a set of short walks around each of the horses with a GPS located sound park at each one.
